For those in the United States, happy Independence Day from the The Leadership Podcast!

We like this name better than the 4th of July because it carries with it the meaning and motivation for the sacrifices that went with freedoms all Americans know and enjoy.

We often forget that the French were instrumental in our struggle and that Polish/Prussian generals helped guide our troops. America has always been a melting pot of people willing to fight for liberty, freedom and a chance for a better life.

These are universal desires that are valued the world over – that’s why we call them values!

Our leaders had a world view and so did our allies. The world is grateful for their foresight and wisdom.

And thank you to our many guests who have served in the armed forces protecting these freedoms. This list includes Preston Pysh, Mike Figliuolo, Jill Morgenthaler, Blayne Smith – and let’s not forget our host Jan Rutherford.
